Product

One place for every water-safety check — and the proof you did it.

ShowerSafety follows the routine checks in HSG274 Part 2. It tells each person what's due, records what they did, flags what's slipping, and keeps it all for five years.

Daily tasksThe Log flow

Today's jobs on every phone, logged in a few taps.

Each person opens the app and sees what's theirs today — shower-head cleans, flushes, temperature readings. Tap Log, follow the steps, and the next one is scheduled automatically.

  • Tasks assigned by department or by person
  • Readings and notes in one short flow
  • Overdue work raised before it becomes a gap in the record
Two phone screens: the Today list showing four jobs due, and the temperature log for Room 205 with 52.8 °C entered and marked as a pass.
QR scanningNew · optional

Scan the label. Log the check. Show you were there.

Print a QR label for every outlet and stick it by the shower, tap or tank. Staff scan it with the app — or their phone's own camera — and that outlet's jobs open, ready to log. Every log made from a scan is marked "scanned", so the record shows the check was done at the outlet, not from the office.

  • Labels for every outlet, 21 to an A4 sheet — waterproof ones for wet rooms
  • One scan opens that outlet's due jobs, even with no signal
  • "Scanned" shown in the records and the audit pack
Two phone screens: the scanner pointed at the QR label on Room 205's shower, and Room 205's page marked Scanned with its temperature check due.
Flushing & void roomsHSG274 para 2.77

Little-used outlets flushed — and the record to show it.

Mark a room or area as out of use and its outlets go straight onto the weekly flush list. Bring it back into use and they come off. Nobody has to remember which rooms were empty.

  • Room states set by housekeeping in the app
  • Weekly flush tasks created and cleared for you
  • A flush history for every outlet on the register
The Assets screen listing en-suite showers with their last temperature; Rooms 108 and 109 are marked void and are on the weekly flush list.
TemperaturesSentinel outlets

Enter the reading. Pass or fail is worked out for you.

Sentinel and representative outlets carry their own targets — hot at 50 °C or above within a minute (55 °C in a care home), cold below 20 °C within two. Staff type the number; ShowerSafety does the comparison and flags a failure straight away.

  • The right target for each outlet, including TMV-blended outlets and care-home targets
  • Failures highlighted and a follow-up task raised
  • A weekly temperature trend for every sentinel outlet
Today's jobs, a 12-week sentinel temperature chart with one reading below target, and a phone logging a passing temperature.
Micro resultsHSG274 Table 2.2

Lab results in, the right follow-up out.

Record the result from your lab and ShowerSafety places it in the right action band from Table 2.2. Where the guidance calls for action, the follow-up tasks are raised for you.

  • Legionella and TVC counts recorded per sample point
  • Action band worked out on our server, not by hand
  • Resample and remedial tasks created automatically
Microbiological results: two Legionella samples with no action needed, and one at 1,200 cfu/l banded for disinfection, with the action taken recorded.
InspectionsHSG274 Table 2.1

Tanks, calorifiers and TMVs — never a missed due date.

Add your plant once. Each inspection takes its next-due date from the frequency in Table 2.1, and shows up in the right person's list when it's due.

  • Cold-water tanks, calorifiers, TMVs and more
  • Contractor visits recorded with their certificate references
  • Next-due dates set from the guidance for each type of plant
The inspections schedule for a cold-water tank, a TMV bank and a calorifier, each with its next due date and a pass recorded.
ReportsThe audit pack

Hand the inspector one document, not a carrier bag.

The audit pack puts your written control scheme, the task record, temperature and flush history and micro results in one print-ready report. Every record can also be exported to CSV.

  • A print-ready report for any site and period — save it as a PDF
  • Scheduled reports emailed to you weekly or monthly
  • Written control scheme kept alongside the record

Built for the real building

Works in the plant room. Locked down at the desk. Every change on record.

Works offline

Log in a basement plant room with no signal. Entries are stored on the phone and sent when it reconnects.

Two-step verification

Anyone can add a code from an authenticator app to their sign-in. We recommend it for administrators.
